Put your name/title in the caption of the email!
Pictures should be in 8-bit (image>mode>8bit)
Sized down to about 1000 pixels wide.
Saved as JPGs (you can turn down the quality.
Grading Structure /Assignments:
The first three weeks of class are primarily demos. Craft competency must be successfully demonstrated. Readings are mandatory; each missed will lower you final grade a full letter grade. The completion of these initial assignments as well as the quality of your responses are 5% of your grade.
There are five assignments: 1) Portrait 2) Landscape 3) Ordinary 4) Family 5) Experimental; each are worth 15% of your grade. Your final project represents 20% of your grade.
Late responses/work policy:
Late work results in a failed project. Any late responses/exercises will be counted as 0′s towards your grade but must still be completed in order to pass the course.
So just a few things for Tuesday, September 13th:
Please have digital contact sheet files.
Please bring your negatives to scan, along with any dust removal stuff you like to use…
…and please bring a thumb drive, hard drive or you can use your DropBox account to store your files.
